Milna

Milna

Milna on the island of Brač is one of the most famous “secret” of the island of Brač, which discretely gets under your skin even though you did not know that Milna was just what you were looking for. One part of the magic of Milna lies in the surrounding places that contribute to the charm of Milna each on its own way, namely: Ložišća, Bobovišća, Bobovišća na Moru and Podhume. All together have about a thousand inhabitants. Milna is connected to Split by a catamaran, or if you prefer by a ferry, Supetar is about 20 kilometers away. Milna’s greatest natural advantage lies in the deep bay facing the Splitska Vrata, which provides it with an ideal shelter.

Milna is about 40 km away from the Brač Airport, and travelling from the airport to Milna you will pass through t beautiful places and villages in the centre of the island of Brač, such as Nerežišća, Donji Humac and Dračevica. Since the 16th century, Milna has been a well-known coastal town with high quality of life because ship-owners and captains lived there, as well as shipbuilders of the famous “bracera” vessel that was named after the Island of Brač. At present, Milna offers its visitors a relaxing holiday in quality apartment accommodation kept by local families, but it also offers a superb marina for those who want to enjoy the beauty of the Adriatic. If you have nothing against total relaxation, top quality homemade food, fresh fish, smells of pines and cricket sound in the afternoon, Milna will welcome you in its Dalmatian radiance and you will wish the summer to last forever.
